Mountain Meru is an active strato-volcano located 70 kilometres (43 mi) west of Mount Kilimanjaro inTanzania. At a height of 4,565 metres (14,977 ft), it is visible from Mt. Kilimanjaro on a clear day and it is the ninth or tenth highest mountain in Africa. This package takes you on an adventure to uncover the beauty of this mountain.


Abridged Tour Itinerary

DAY 1:  After breakfast transfer to Momella gate to begin the Climbing of Mt. Meru. Three hours walk gets you to the floor of the Meru Crater. Afternoon explore the Meru Crater. Overnight at Miriakamba Hut.

DAY 2:   After breakfast Climb to Saddle Hut which will take about three hours along the steep Saddle walls. After Lunch explore little Meru. Overnight at Saddle Hut.

DAY 3:   Early morning ascend to the summit of Mt. Meru which will take up to Five hours. Explore the summit, then descend to Miriakamba Hut for Overnight.

DAY 4:   Descend to Kitoto and proceed to Momella Gate.

Usually Mt. Meru Climb is done in Two nights Three days but since descending takes about Seven hours, some Clients might’s want to do it in Three Nights Four days.


Tour Package includes

Park Entrance Fees, Hut, Rescue, Porters, Guides and all Meals.
